The history of «VeinVis» began in June 2016, when the project team developed the first prototype of the device for the visualization of superficial veins. Soon, the first pilot batch was developed and handed over to the medical institutions of Moscow and the Moscow region for testing. In July and August 2016, after receiving comments and suggestions of employees of medical institutions, involved in testing, VeinVis created two new prototypes and produced the second batch of pilot product. Based on the results of three months testing a final version of the device was produced. In October 2016 the company «VeinVis» was officially registered.

This device allows patients to facilitate the process of blood sampling and intravenous injection, and also makes it less painful. Increasing the percentage of accurate vein hits allows health facilities to reduce the cost of consumables, as well as saving staff time. The «VeinVis» device is especially important for patients who have difficulties in carrying out vein blood collections and intravenous injections, for example, for children, people with overweight, cancer patients. The device can be used in case of emergency.

"VeinVis" is supported by biopharmaceutical cluster "Northern" and by "XI Ventures", the production is organized thanks to the interaction of the team with the companies-suppliers and manufacturers.

2017-04-18_12-25-46.png Currently, the company is actively engaged in setting up serial production of devices for superficial veins imaging. In the first half of 2017 it is planned to produce the first batch. Also it is planed to actively work to establish contacts with potential partners and customers, close cooperation with medical institutions and laboratories.

Another challenge for 2017 is to provide an improved embodiment for the device for visualization of veins, intended in particular for use in professional phlebological clinics.
